How It Works
Drafty is a premium online draft room platform. The person who creates the draft group is considered the "commish" and the commish will make a one-time purchase to activate the group's official draft room.
- Team managers participate for free.
- Mock drafts are free.
- Draft groups are free.
The cost of the final, official draft room depends on the size of the draft. The draft size is calculated as the total number of teams multiplied by the roster size for each team. Refer to the table of draft sizes for specific pricing.
Teams × Roster Size = Total Draft Size
For example:
- A local rec sports league running a live auction pickleball draft with 16 teams and 5 athletes per team will have a total draft size of 80 assets (16 × 5)
- A fantasy baseball league with 40 teams and 32 rounds in their dynasty startup snake draft will have a total draft size of 1,280 assets (40 × 32)
- An eSports conference hosting a Fortnite tournament with 64 sponsored teams drafting 4 gamers each will have a total draft size of 256 assets (64 × 4)
Free Mock Drafts
Mock drafts are free to use and iterate within a draft group. They are designed to be the testing grounds for a group to try out various draft settings. Mock duration is limited and draft results cannot be saved - otherwise the experience is exactly what you'll find in an activated draft room.
Once a group lands on the perfect configuration of settings for their draft, commish can activate the group to unlock the official draft room where draft day magic takes place.
Dojo Upgrades
The Dojo is an optional premium upgrade for an individual user account. It grants special abilities in-draft that are contextually useful without creating an unfair advantage. The Dojo upgrade also unlocks draft prep tools for the user in their draft groups. Learn more about the Dojo.
The Group Dojo is an optional premium upgrade for an entire draft group. It unlocks the same Dojo perks for all group members within the group tabs and draft rooms. Learn more about the Group Dojo.
Draft Addons
Within a draft group's settings and presets, premium addons can be purchased separately to unlock advanced capabilities such as custom branding, dual format, group dojo, and/or mayhem. Learn more about draft addons.
Draft Results
The draft room will detect when all rosters are full and automatically save results to the draft group. Additional draft rooms can be activated as needed within the draft group.
Keepers in Draft Results
Any group whose teams are keeping some players from a previous season can handle keepers in one of two ways when using a custom player list:
- Include keepers in the player list/draft pool and assign them to teams within the draft group's player settings. The draft room will recognize any keepers and adjust team budgets/draft picks automatically. Keepers will appear in draft results and on team rosters in-draft.
- Leave keepers out of the player list/draft pool and adjust team budgets/draft picks manually. Draft results will NOT include keepers this way, but the cost of the draft room may be reduced since the price depends on the total size of the draft. See pricing details.
